Royal Papworth Charity is a registered charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales. Registered Charity No. 1049224 in accordance with the Charities Act 2011.
The Charity is governed by a Declaration of Trust dated 10 July 1995 (amended by a supplemental deed dated 14 May 2008).
The Charity exists to raise funds and receive donations for Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in order to sustain the Hospital as the UK’s leading centre of excellence for the treatment and diagnosis of cardiothoracic diseases.
The Charity's fundraising activities also support Royal Papworth Hospital’s pioneering research activity and vision for the future.

Our Trustee Board
Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the Corporate Trustee of Royal Papworth Charity. The Corporate Trustee fulfils its legal duty by ensuring that funds are spent in accordance with the objectives of the Charity.
The Trustee Board is responsible for the governance and strategy of Royal Papworth Charity. The purpose of the board is to ensure high standards of clinical and corporate governance, monitor performance and ensure effective financial stewardship.
The Board meets at least four times a year. They delegate the day-to-day responsibility for the running of the Charity to the Charity Team. It has approved and adopted a Conflicts of Interest Policy
